Jackson County, OR purchases AMX PayPoint™

Idaho Falls, Idaho — August 14, 2006

AMX International, Inc., a leader in providing complete enterprise software solutions that fit™ and an Oracle® Certified Partner, announced today that Jackson County, OR has purchased AMX PayPoint, a cashiering point of sale (POS) system.

Jackson County, OR has been a customer of AMX International, Inc. since 2003. The County purchased AMX PayPoint cashiering application in 2005 to provide Point-of-Sale technology initially to the County’s Community Justice Department.

The County is presently implementing PayPoint at the Juvenile Department, and next at the Sheriff Department.

“The PayPoint implementation took only one week to install, configure, and train key users and administrators on the use of the system. The training provided by AMX was very effective. The credit goes to the skill level of AMX with this application, but also must be shared with the simplicity and ease of use of the application itself,” says Frank Young, Technical Services Coordinator of Jackson County, OR.

Young continues, “As the County’s CNC administrator, I have found the technical side of the application to be very smooth and easy to install and troubleshoot.”

PayPoint features that have been extremely useful to the County include:

• Templates and screens that are flexible and configurable to allow for a variety of the County’s transaction requirements.

• PayPoint accepts all types of payment types, e.g. cash, checks, credit cards.

• PayPoint works with registers, card readers, printers, and scanners.

• PayPoint supports automated closeout and reconciliation for each workstation.

• PayPoint allows multiple layers of security.

Jackson County, OR required a solution that could be implemented quickly for an immediate and measurable return on our investment. They were looking for an out-of-the-box system that was flexible enough to fit their unique fee and transactional requirements. In AMX, they found a POS vendor who could provide a complete solution that would grow with the County and improve their overall business processes.
