Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services wins Special Certificate of Recognition

Idaho Falls, Idaho — September 22, 2006

Quest, the International Group of Oracle software users and AMX International, an Idaho based premier Oracle partner announced today that Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) was presented with a Certificate of Recognition during Quest’s “Collaborate” convention of Oracle users in Nashville, Tennessee earlier this year. Over 8,000 Oracle users attended this once a year international event. Also receiving awards with AMX were American Heart Association and the City of Overland Park, Kansas.

In addition to this recognition, Montgomery County personnel, with special request from Quest, gave an hour long presentation and demonstration to fellow Oracle users on the subject of the County’s on-time and on-budget implementation of Oracle’s EnterpriseOne software along with system integration improvements to the County’s mainframe database.

This is just one of several recognitions and awards the County has received since the original 2003 implementation of the EnterpriseOne software. The system continues to evolve and improve due to vision and leadership of DHHS executives and the project management of its departmental managers. Ownership and accountability for the software have been key ingredients for success.

DHHS was also recently awarded the 2006 Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties for its program for Financial Data Access which enhances the awareness of the County’s activities and facilitates the sharing of valuable information with other counties throughout the nation.

“County citizens should be very pleased with the hard work and amazing accomplishments of DHHS in the use of information technology to streamline operations and to increase overall services to the constituents. This high achievement is confirmed by Quest and the County’s peer users of the software,” says Jay Price, President of AMX International. Since our first involvement with the County, our mutual goal has been to maximize the service to County constituents and to reduce overall computer operating expenses. The award from Quest is an independent confirmation of the achievement of this goal.
