AMX IMPLEMENTS ORACLE’S JD EDWARDS ENTERPRISEONE 8.12 AT THE PORT OF HOUSTON AUTHORITY

Idaho Falls, Idaho — September 17, 2009

AMX International, a Certified Advantage Partner in the Oracle® PartnerNetwork, today announced the successful Go Live of Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12 for the Port of Houston Authority.

The Port of Houston is a 25-mile-long complex of diversified public and private facilities located just a few hours' sailing time from the Gulf of Mexico. The port is ranked first in the United States in foreign waterborne tonnage and second in the U.S. in total tonnage.

In April 2008, the deployment of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne began. The AMX team provided CNC work, set up servers, and installed the software. Financial, supply chain management and real estate management modules were implemented to improve productivity and overall operations. Oracle BPEL, Business Process Execution Language, Process Manager was used to integrate The Port of Houston’s third party VIS purchasing system to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. A minor interruption to the project halted work for over a month as Hurricane Ike left a path of destruction causing the Port Operations to close for weeks. When the Port finally opened, AMX got right back to work and still completed the implementation on time and under budget.

“AMX was a great group to work with. They completed the project on time and under budget,” Yolanda Ramirez-Francis, Project Manager of The Port of Houston, continues, “We will continue to work with AMX for our future needs and recommend AMX to anyone else looking to implement JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.”
