Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Middleware

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a type of computing architecture where all the pieces leverage each other, using each other’s data to provide a bigger, more complete picture of your business processes. Synergy built by components working together also means more productivity. Your efforts multiply to serve your clients. Fusion Middleware is an example of SOA and has been built to be interoperable so all information can be quickly and easily accessible. Fusion works by leveraging each piece of information, even from disparate locations to optimize its utility.

This is often being done using Web services, but could easily be integrated universally to all service-based technology. This is possible because all the pieces in an SOA are integrated and compatible. This architecture provides standardized information regardless of language or development technology. Because information is on one platform, all information can connect to each other in various locations or systems, all in a unified and integrated manner.

Consumers may use the SOA of Oracle’s Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) to locate the best possible airfare using specific criteria or to pool various data sources in your business’ network to support a new more efficient business process. You may use your current information in many ways to get the most performance from all of your business information
